I hope to have a shiny new domain with my own blog hosting by the end of the month. It's my birthday/Halloween gift to myself.

I'm used to the neighborhood. Other than the people being loud and fucking slobs, it's fine. No one messes with us, our cars or the house. They do, however, throw trash all over the neighborhood. I've never seen lazier people.

I quit my old job and found a new gig only 12 miles from my house. I'm paid much more money, have better hours and virtually no stress. I have to wear khaki's 4 days a week (Fridays jeans are OK,) and getting up at 6:15AM sucks, but it's worth it. Plus, I'm back in an academic setting and I love that. I'm still in the computer field though, which is good.

Really that's all for now. I'll post a link to my fancy site once it's finished.

Lots O' Update

A lot of stuff has gone on since my last post. First, the doctors never figured out what's wrong with me, but I'm taking Colestid 2 times a day and am back to work (since July 2nd.) Morgan and I moved to Cleveland a couple days ago; his Dad gave us a house. I'm scared of my new neighborhood, but I'm sure I'll get over that. I've never lived in the city, so I really don't know what to expect, plus it's Cleveland. We're about 10 minutes from the Quaker Steak and Lube in Valley View, so we're not in the ghetto, but I'm scared anyway.

We've had some pet deaths I'd rather not go into right now. This always happens; we're fine for a while then a bunch of our pets die within a week of each other.

Crap, I've run out of steam already. I'm at work and tired of staring at the computer. It was such a non-event, with the prep being the worst of it. I managed to ask the doctor if he'd found Jimmy Hoffa up there, and that's all I remember until I was told they were finished and I was in recovery. There's no indications of colon cancer, nor does it appear that I have Crohn's Disease. The doctor put me on Colestid, one tablet twice a day. I plan on being back to work no later than a week from tomorrow (Friday.)

There's the abridged version, I'll update this tomorrow with a more thorough highlight reel.

It's A Colon Explosion!!

The first post here in almost 3 months, and it's about pooping. Ah, such is my life...

I've been off work since May 7th because of two issues. One, I was told I have a hernia. Two, I poop all the time. Seriously, it sucks. So, my primary care doctor told me I was dehydrated and malnourished, so I went on short-term disability. Fast-forward over a month later and I'm finally having a colonoscopy to determine what's causing my poop issue, along with the abdominal pain (the CT Scan was clear, so no hernia apparently.) I was supposed to have the colonoscopy last week, but I wasn't cleaned out enough. So, here's the low-down on what happens when you have a colonoscopy.

For the last week I've not been allowed any foods with nuts or seeds. Not really a big deal, as I'm not a big nuts and/or seeds eating person.

Yesterday, two days before the invasion, I had to drink 2 ounces of Milk of Magnesia after dinner. It wasn't the flavor of the Milk of Magnesia so much as the texture. It had the consistency of snot, and was also gritty. Also, no eating after midnight, so I haven't eaten since 10PM yesterday.

Today, it gets fun. No red or purple liquids, and no real food. I'm allowed broth, bouillon, tea, etc, as long as I can see through it, and it isn't red or purple. Additionally, I get to drink 4 liters of TriLyte, a laxative. It tastes like really weak Orange Kool Aid with an entire container of salt dumped in for good measure. Seriously, it's fucking horrible and I'm going to chase it with Sprite or 7-Up as soon as my Mom gets here with my supplies delivery (Sprite or 7-Up, broth, freezer pops and moist butt wipes.) Seriously, the moist butt wipes are a must!!! My Mom has to get it for me because I can't leave the damned house (shut up.)

I just drank the first cup of the TriLyte stuff, and who knows how long it'll take to work. All I know is the Milk of Magnesia worked in less than 12 hours, so if I ever can't poop, that's what I'll drink first.

Guess I'll watch TV...

Sneezy

Today was a full day of sneezing and cleaning. I managed to clear out a box of stuff that's been sitting in the kitchen since I moved in, washed all of the dishes, cleaned the living room and got all of the clothes sorted for washing and drying. The sneezing is annoying and I hope I'm not getting sick again.

My new car is so great. Seriously, I'm so glad I went with the Beetle instead of the Monte Carlo SS. I have the daisy bra and matching side mirror covers, and a few other styling modifications. I hope to do a few engine tweaks this Spring, but first I want to get the timing belt and serpentine belt changed. The serpentine is $100 including labor, but I'm sure the timing belt is going to be outrageously expensive. I need to double-check with the dealer to see if they changed it prior to selling me the car, but I seriously doubt they did.

Here are two photos of the car. Morgan took them today and yes, the car's filthy right now.

Beetle Front
Beetle Back

Work is going well, but some recent changes have caused the stress level to rise, especially at night. Hopefully it'll get better because I like the people I work with, and I like the job most of the time.

I should go to bed since it's back to work tomorrow.

I'm Updating!

I figured I'd update on here because I'm not really sure why I stopped using this blog and only updating on MySpace. Anyway...

I've been working as a hardware and software tech support agent since June of last year. I love my job, and since I have to work for a living, it's a good place to be. I missed work today due to shitty weather, and I missed 9 days (including weekends and 2 scheduled vacation days) because of pneumonia last month. Thankfully I had a doctor's excuse and sick time available.

I bought a car at the end of last month, a 2002 VW Beetle Sport. I love my Beetle and it has a 2 year/24,000 mile factory warranty so I don't have to worry about anything (other than tires, brakes and oil changes.) I traded in the Grand Prix when I was told I'd get more for trade than I paid for the car over a year ago. So yeah, it wasn't too difficult of a decision for me to make. Of course, I still have TruckBird and he's getting painted in June.

The baby's doing well, and will be two in April.

Not a whole lot is going on with working so much and sleeping. I go to the Harbor once in a while, and spend plenty of time at Target. We're going to the Cleveland Auto Show on February 23rd for a breakfast reception at the GM display, for our Camaro club. That should be good times.

I moved back to Louisville from North Canton in August. It's an interior thread with a tiny crystal on the end. I keep pulling on it, and I'm going to wind up pulling it clear through my lip. I need to stop.

My first week of work went well. I think I'll fit in nicely, and no one said anything about my centered labret. I'm going to wear all three studs tomorrow and see if anyone says anything. When I was hired I was told it was OK to wear the jewelry as long as no one complained.

I found the perfect duplex. Last weekend I was driving around, and saw a for rent sign in the front yard. It's a really cute building in a good neighborhood (Jackson Township.) It's further away from my job, but it's 100% what I want, for the price I want. Two bedrooms, 1.5 bath, attached garage, yard, central air, basement, w/d hookup, garbage disposal, dishwasher and it's in a quiet neighborhood. The best part? Only $550/mo. I'm going to see it next weekend, and hopefully I'll be able to move in the 1st of August. I could only hope for a garage door opener.

I should clean the rat cages.

My KARR tattoo is all healed up and looks really nice. I'm going back next weekend to get my Firebird tattoo touched up again. For some reason the black in the tattoo isn't staying put. I have other tattoos from Art Bomb which have black ink, and they're fine. Must be my skin or something. In any event, TJ assured me he will keep touching it up until I'm happy.

Time to play with the boys.

Woo Woo

New tattoo Saturday afternoon @ 3. Lucifer is very sick and has stopped eating and drinking. If he makes it through the night I'll be very surprised. We haven't even had him that long; 10 days today. Morgan brought Lucifer home the day after Mr. Nibbly died, and Lucifer wound up sick too. It's strange because the other 5 seem to be fine. El Presidente sneezes a lot but his breathing's fine, his nose is clear and he acts 100% normal. I'll receive my first check from my new job the last week of June, and I'm taking everyone to the vet. It'll cost around $250 for the exams, and another $150 if everyone needs meds, but at least I won't have to worry about anyone else getting sick. This is becoming a little too much for me to handle.

In other news I turned in my resignation letter yesterday. My last day at Stark State is June 8th and my first day at the new place is June 11th. I'm beyond excited. I have to go in on Monday to go over my employment offer and benefits package. Yes, a benefits PACKAGE. I'm geeked out beyond words. Now I'm looking forward to moving in September. It'll have to be around here, though, and not the Cleveland area. South Akron, Greentown, Uniontown, Green, Bath and North Canton are all possibilities, and I guess Mogadore and Tallmadge are as well. It's going to take me a while to find the perfect place, so I plan on beginning my search in mid-July. I'll have 60 days to find the perfect place. I just hope that's enough time.

Lucifer is laying all cute on top of his tissue box. Poor guy, I feel so bad for him but there's nothing I can do. The vet isn't in until Monday, and the Stark County Vet Hospital won't treat a rat. Assholes.

I need to finish cleaning the apartment, then get the dirty clothes into the Grand Prix. Bah, I hate housework.

Woo!

New job, yay me. This one's kinda cool, so maybe I'll visit more. The problem is I have too many blogs, and I need to condense them into one. Maybe someday I will.

I had another rat pass away on Tuesday. Mr. Nibbly (Sexy Rexy) wound up catching pneumonia. He was a good boy, and I miss him very much.

I'm up to 6 rats now. Beeker (Pink-Eyed White,) Baby (Berkshire Cocoa Dumbo,) Mr. Rogers (Standard Black Berkshire,) El Presidente (Agouti Dumbo,) Captain Jack (Russian Blue Berkshire Dumbo) and Lucifer (Black Self Rex Dumbo.) A couple of my boys are fine examples of their color/breed, but I can't bring myself to begin breeding them. There's no way I could handle everything involved, so maybe I'll stud my boys. I keep trying to redesign the blog so I want to visit and post, but it isn't working. Anyway, on to the update.

When Robert the Cat died I wasn't too hip to getting another rat. Two months later, I now have 3 rats. Beeker's the oldest, and a good boy. He's an Albino rat who thinks he's a squirrel. Baby is the youngest, and smallest (Dumbo rat.) I've had him a little over a week, and thankfully he's still alive. When I got him the breeder told me he just needed some TLC since he was the runt. Additionally, she said if I didn't take him she'd feed him to her snake. So yeah, Baby came home with me. It turned out the poor little guy had pneumonia. He's much better, though, and gaining weight. The $73 vet bill was 100% worth it. He's very friendly and cuddly, almost like a cat. Originally Baby's friend and cage mate was Sneezy (Big Ears, a Dumbo rat like Baby.) Turns out Sneezy was a girl, so I had to take her back. She was a good girl, albeit slightly hyper. She's going to be sold as a pet, not snake food, because she's perfectly healthy. Anyway, I took her back Wednesday and got Mr. Nibbly (Sexy Rexy, Rex rat) as a friend for Baby. He's a good boy, and gets along well with Baby. All three rats seem to play well together, but the two smaller ones are too little for Beeker's new cage (they'd escape through the cage sides.) If Beeker's in an especially good mood, he'll give the other two rides around the bathtub on his back. I can't have a cat in this apartment, so the boys are my only pets for now, other than Fred the Chinese Algae Eater. I'll probably always have at least one rat from now on, even when I move in September and finally get a cat.

Work is work. I've established a nice routine, and know what's expected of me. I'm actively searching for a different job, because Governor Strickland cut funding (I work at a college) and I'm afraid I'll get "downsized." Hopefully I'll find something soon, in between here and Cleveland. I'm thinking of moving to North Royalton/Lakewood in September. I figure I can afford $400-$450 a month for rent, and since I'm living in a studio apartment right now, even an small one bedroom apartment will seem like a mansion. Rent's more expensive in North Royalton/Lakewood, but I should still be able to find something acceptable for $450 a month. But yeah, that's not until September and only if I find a different job.

The upstairs neighbor is stomping around at 2:30 in the morning. He's suck a cocksmooch. I would go into examples, but I'm actually tired, so I'm going to wrap this up.

Photos of the new pets are at my Flickr account in the Pets set.

Baby's Birthday Party & Other Things

The baby's 1st birthday party was yesterday. We wound up being an hour and a half late, but we finally arrived! There were 6-7 areas of snow, then clear roads. On the way home, the snow arrived, and stayed, for the last 20 minutes of the drive. Overall, though, a fun time was had by all. The baby made out like a bandit with goodies, and he seemed to enjoy his first birthday cake. Photos are in a MySpace album, and are set to private. If you're not on MySpace, or aren't one of my MySpace friends, email me for the photos. I'll also have them on Flickr, but set to private as well.

I just found out two of my favorite bloggers are no longer living together. For whatever reason, I've never actually met them, I'm upset. Maybe because they seemed so well-suited for each other? They're still friends, but don't live together anymore. Guess nothing's as it seems.

I really need to hang up the clean clothes, then wash the dirty ones. I figure if I wash clothes once a week, I won't wind up with 7 baskets of clothes at once. Yeah, that sucks.

I've run out of steam already.....

Lucky Asses

Heh, I am one lucky ass. Tuesday night after the concert, we went to the Garage Bar. Well, on the way from the Garage Bar we got pulled over. Yeah, we were both smashed, but somehow we didn't wind up in jail. This is good.

The concert was good, and the weather cooperated.

Today's the baby's birthday! Tomorrow is his party.

I slept all day because I'm lazy. Now, I need food.

Morgan brought home another rat. I told him not to, but of course he didn't listen. I pretty much ignore it because he's not nearly as cool as Robert was.

Shower.

Hard Realization

Last night I came to the realization I can't depend upon anyone, not even my own mother. This is pretty hard to realize, but I'd suspected so for quite a while. It would be nice to have at least one person I could depend on, but I don't. I guess the old saying really is true; everyone lets you down in the end.

In other news, I spent 3 hours last night at Aultman's Emergency Department. I managed to get myself a pretty decent pinched nerve in my neck. All I know is it hurts like a bastard, and it's been like this for over a week. The Valium seems to help, but I don't know if I'll be able to take one and go to work. So I guess I'm stuck hurting during the day, and passing the fuck out at night. At least I can sleep, though.

Tuesday is the Type O Negative show in Cleveland. I'm going with my friend Jess, then we're going to the Garage Bar afterward. Luckily I don't have to be at work until 2PM on Wednesday. Speaking of work, I get Friday off since it's a holiday!

Friday the baby will be a year old. His party is Saturday at 2PM. Anyone who wants photos email me; I'm no longer posting his photos online.

I get to wash clothes tonight. I only have 7 baskets to wash and dry. Yay.

This blog is getting stale, but I'm not ready to quit just yet.

Empty

This week has sucked. Robert the Cat died early Tuesday morning. My "friends" suck ass (more on the later.) The Firebird's starter is going bad, again. The Grand Prix was dead from Saturday evening until late this evening. I'm hopeful it's the keys causing the problem and the local Chevy dealer said they'll test the keys for free.

Now we'll touch on my "friends." The "I've been busy" excuse doesn't mean anything to me. I know the world doesn't revolve around me, but if you're a true friend you make time for a phone call or email once or twice a week. One of my true friends has 2 kids, works and has a boyfriend to take care of too. She manages to talk with me at least once a week. And no, I don't expect people to always call me. Quite the contrary, actually. I'm usually the one doing all of the calling/emailing/etc because people refuse to put forth effort. Almost equally as lame is the "I'm in a bad place mentally" excuse, or any of its lame variants. Get fucked. We all have shitty days, weeks or months. Pull your head out of your ass and realize your friends are here to help you through those times. You fuck around long enough, and when you're "feeling better" you won't have any friends. What pisses me off the most is when people ask me to be understanding. Oh, get fucked. You can call on your way home from work, while you're waiting on dinner to finish or while you're washing clothes. Oh wait, that would require EFFORT and we can't have that, now can we? The best are "friends" who simply disappear. I love knowing someone for years, then one day they disappear to never talk to me again. Nice way to have a spine, assholes (yep, it's happened with more than one person.) I love people who waste my time with empty promises and excuses as to why their time is worth more than our friendship.

I now have 3 labret piercings. They rock the house. Equally as rocking is my Michael Myers tattoo. Photos are at my MySpace page, www.myspace.com/thepooper

I painted my fingernails, but they will inevitably look like ass.

My eyebrows need waxed something fierce. I should get that taken care of tomorrow.

I've vented, now I shall slumber.

Time For Hibernation

Now I realize why all of the smart animals hibernate; winter is cold! The temperatures have been well below zero (with wind chill) for almost a week. School was canceled yesterday and today because of the cold, which is crazy. I can't remember school being canceled one time because it was too cold. But anyway, yeah, it's cold.

What do I do when it's balls cold? Go shopping, of course! I found some awesome deals over the weekend. On Friday, I scored this incredibly cute rolling suitcase for $22! Now I have the peeeenk one, and this as well ($9.) For some reason the duffel comes up as having wheels, but it doesn't. Oh, and who can forget the awesome laptop bag ($8.75?) Now, if I only had somewhere to take my awesome Isaac luggage.
While at Target, I scored this HP photo printer for $35! Yes, $35!!!! I guess it's being discontinued, but I don't care. The cartridge, HP110, is used for other items and is pretty cheap ($20.) The photos from this printer are great, and the printer is 100% portable. It even has a cute little handle! (Shut up)
Finally, at the end of my Friday shopping excursion, I bit the bullet and purchased this laser printer at Office Max. The best part is I picked it up for under $100, including the one-year replacement warranty. It seems to be a nice printer, and it's pretty small for a laser printer. The toner cartridge isn't too bad, $65, and is supposed to yield 3,000 pages or so. Even with all online classes this semester, it'll take me a while to print 3,000 pages, so I figure it was a good investment.

Morgan and I were going somewhere on Saturday, I think it was to see Ducky, when we realized the Grand Prix's speakers had suddenly began to suck. It sounded as though all 4 speakers had blown out at once. On Sunday we decided to buy new speakers for the car. We spent more than I wanted to, but the rears sound awesome. I'm picking up the front set today; they were out of stock at the Canton store, so I have to run to Chapel Hill (Cuyahoga Falls) and pick them up. I also bought 3 DVD's from Best Buy. I couldn't help myself, they were only $5 each, and I had to use the remaining $15 on the gift card. Instead of using cash to buy the speakers, I ran to Giant Eagle (local grocery store chain) and purchased $150 in Best Buy gift cards. For every $50 spent at Giant Eagle, we receive 20 cents off per gallon of gas. On Friday I used our $1.60 off per gallon, and we already have another 80 cents off per gallon! Which is good, because the Grand Prix needs gas again. But yeah, cheap gas is good.

On Saturday it was 15 degrees below zero, and there are Morgan and I feeding Ducky. We stopped to check on her, and she gave us the "where's my food" look. So we ran to the store, and bought her some bread. Upon our return, I took that photo of her. Crappy camera phone photo, but you get the point.

I went to bed at 9:30 last night. Not on purpose, mind you. I laid down to get warm, and wound up falling asleep. I woke up at 4AM and have been up ever since.

Michael Myers tattoo tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7PM. It's going to rock the house.

Freezing, must cover up.

Robert the Cat

I came home from work today, and found this sitting on the TV stand:

OK, right now he's cute and semi-cuddly. Physically I have two new tattoos, both of which weren't as bad as I thought they'd be. Crow wasn't anywhere near as painful as Servo was, and the Firebird tattoo hurts more now than it did while I was getting it. The labret (lip piercing) didn't hurt at all during the actual piercing, and only swelled for a day, if that. It was more of a getting used to it thing the first couple days, and now I'm completely used to it. For some reason this week dragged by, even with Monday being a holiday. I started a new schedule this week; no my permanent schedule, but only 20 hours a week. While 20 hours a week is nice, I'm getting the crap schedule because Angel has 2 kids. She can't work the evenings because of her kids, which is cool. I prefer evenings anyway, but I'll be glad when my schedule is a normal Monday-Thursday from 1PM-6PM. I've had quite a few "issues" at work with computers and stuff, but I fixed everything I could because I rock! Overall I'm going to enjoy this job, and it gives me plenty of study time as well.

Blogger's Still Pissing Me Off

But really, what choice do I have? I'm too lazy to learn a new method of blogging, so I'm stuck here. The only thing I'm pissed off about is my inability to switch to the new version of Blogger. I guess, after blogging for over 4 years I shouldn't complain too much.

This weekend was busy, busy, busy. Got a new tattoo and piercing, drove to Pittsburgh and didn't sleep very much. Sounds fun, yes?

I'm getting another tattoo Wednesday. I'd have got it Saturday, but the copier was out of toner and my artist wants to do something way cool with Crow T. Robot. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I should finish putting away clean clothes, then set up the new aquarium. It's only a 10 gallon, but it'll be plenty big enough for our new Betta, Rambo (Morgan named him.)

I'm off.

I Dislike Blogger

Blogger's pissing me off.

That is all.

All Work & No Pay

Makes Lisa a pissed off girl. But yeah, I didn't get paid and I'm soooooo happy about it, I could piss myself.

In other news, we haven't yet purchased the Grand Prix. It sucked. There was a 35-40 minute line for the bar, I'm not touching buffet food at a club and annoying people were plentiful. The only nice thing was Ohio's smoking ban went into effect, so the air was clear. Next year, unless they open the Phantasy portion as well, we're finding something else to do.

Barb and Kanon got me a $50 gift card for Torrid. Morgan and I stopped there on the way home since clearance was an additional 50% off. I walked out with this shirt, this pair of jeans and this pair of jeans. Total? $52.12. I rule. I may exchange the shirt for this one, though. I was in a hurry and completely forgot about the Zim shirts. I have a couple Hello Kitty shirts, but no Zim shirts.

Today I'm proctoring testing until 2PM, then going home at 3. I really don't want to be here today, I didn't get to sleep until almost 1AM, but at least it's a job. Besides, the 15th I switch to my new 20 hour a week schedule.

Buying a Grand Prix Saturday as long as Shay or her boyfriend can find the title. He bit my Mom, and enjoyed eating wrapping paper. He's way heavy, and is very alert. I'll post photos at my Yahoo account.

For Christmas, I was gifted with a $50 Target gift card, and a bag of Bath and Body Works stuff. I was going to buy a new jacket with the gift card, but I didn't like how the jackets fit. So, I used the gift card on the second best thing; sock monkey stuff! I bought the slippers and the pants. I would have purchased the sheets too, but they were sold out of Queen size. The sheets were only $19 in the store! The pants were $17 and the slippers were $13. Expensive, but cute and I had a gift card.

I'm sick and it sucks.

Bed.

Access Denied

I'm still unable to switch to the new version of Blogger. It's really pissing me off. Way back when, I subscribed to Blogger's Blog*Spot Plus feature. It was less than $5/mo, and enabled me to upload images and stuff via FTP. I also had "priority" access to techs for questions, etc. Well now, it's biting me in the ass. Short of deleting my first blog, with almost 2000 posts, I'm stuck with the old version of Blogger. Additionally, no one will reply to my inquires on how to update my old blog. I keep receiving an error message saying the password is incorrect (I know it isn't.) Grrrrrrrrrr.

It's so touching when someone I don't even know takes stuff from my site, and uses it as their own. Even if it's part of the public domain, do your own searches. Don't rely on other people to find cool stuff, then use it on your own page. And without even emailing them to say "thanks for finding cool stuff because I'm too lazy to do it on my own." It would only be better if they hadn't changed the URL and it was still pointing to my site.

I'm up this early because I went to bed before 9PM yesterday, and I have to be at work at 8:30AM. I woke up at 4:30AM, and figured I'd get up. At least I can get all of the clean clothes hung up, check on Mr. Fish, give him his medicine and have a Pop Tart (Mint Chocolate Chip, bitches!) for breakfast.

Speaking of Mr. Fish, he seems to be recovering from his illness. He swimming around more, and swims to the top of the bowl now. I need to get different food, though. I don't think he appreciates his new food (Petco doesn't carry the kind I bought when I got Mr. Fish) and he needs to eat so he gets better. It means I have to go to Wal-Mart, though, and I hate Wal-Mart. I decided to stop shopping there, but they are the only place I can find that brand/type of blood worm. Once he's healthy again maybe I can get him to eat the new stuff. Either that, or I'll buy a couple jars of the food while I'm there. It's less than $3 a jar, and one jar lasted him since April or May. Yeah, one Betta doesn't eat very much.

I rented Silent Hill and The Zodiac Killer yesterday, and Hallow's End arrived in the mail yesterday as well. We can watch two tomorrow, and one tonight. Saturday we're going to Mansfield to see the baby, so that'll be our entertainment for the weekend.

I need food.

Sneeze

I swear, I have mono. I've never had mono before, but it has to be the reason why I'm so tired all of the time. Like, can't find the energy to put away clean clothes tired. I have no idea how I'm going to drive to my Mom's house tomorrow to take her Christmas shopping. It isn't that I don't want to take her; I don't know how I'm going to take her.

On top of being tired beyond words, I'm constantly sneezing. I love it.

I did manage to get out to the PO Box early this afternoon. Man, was it nice outside. Supposed to be even warmer tomorrow and Tuesday. We think he's sick, though, so hopefully we can nurse him back to health. He barely swims, I don't think he's eating and when he does swim, it's sideways. We're going to the pet store today and buying special Mr. Fish water, new rocks, some water conditioner and new food. Hopefully he'll be his cheery Mr. Fish self in no-time.

In other news, we've watched so many movies the past three weeks, it isn't even funny. My month's free trial of Blockbuster Online is almost expired, and I'm definitely renewing the membership. Since signing up for the trial on November 17th we've rented/watched the following movies:
Paradise Lost
Paradise Lost 2
Marilyn Manson's Guns, Gods and Government Tour DVD
Rammstein Industrial Angels Tour DVD
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Remake)
Cabin Fever
Black Cadillac
MST3K Disc 4 Season 5
MST3K Disc 5 Season 5
MST3K Monster A Go Go
The Last House on the Left
Donnie Darko
Superman Returns
House Season One Disc 3
House Season Two Disc 1
House Season Two Disc 2
The Devil's Rejects
House of 1000 Corpses
Daughters of Darkness
Forever Knight Season 1 Disc 1
Forever Knight Season 1 Disc 2
Bloodsucking Pharaohs in Pittsburgh
That's a lot of movies for FREE. I figured out why I didn't rent from Blockbuster under normal circumstances; movies are $3.50 each!! But yeah, if any of you are even remotely interested in online movie rental programs, I highly recommend the Blockbuster program. We have the 3 movies out at a time deal, and those movies don't count against in-store rentals either. Earlier in the week we had a stack of 7 DVD's to watch. Bloodsucking Pharaohs, Cabin Fever and TCSM were so bad we couldn't make it through, so that helped cut down on DVD viewing time. Still, who cares if some were duds? They were FREE!!

Shit, I just remembered our car insurance is due tomorrow. I should probably pay the bill so our policies aren't canceled. Not having car insurance is bad, since it's required in Ohio.

Morgan needs to get his ass out of bed soon if he plans on visiting Ducky today (hopefully she's still around.)

We wound up not attending the NEOCC Christmas party yesterday. When I told Morgan it was $22 he thought I meant per membership. No, it was $22 per person. He decided it wasn't worth the $44, plus an hour's drive (each way) in possibly snowy weather. I cooked dinner instead, and we watched DVD's (huge surprise, I know.)

Gah, I should check my PO Box. It's probably crammed full of crap, but maybe our magazines have arrived as well (I have 4 free magazine subscriptions through erewards.com. Free stuff rules.)

Must pee.

Ow

Holy shit, my head hurts so bad right now. I think my brains are going to pop out of my ears or something. Migraines can eat my ass, along with upper respiratory infections. This shit always happens when I get a new job; I swear I'm cursed.

I forgot to include two movies in the list. I also watched Paradise Lost and Paradise Lost 2. Great documentaries, I highly recommend them. They really make you think, especially people who are "different" and live in a small town.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to die now.

Gah

Gah, when I sign in to Blogger I get a notification of being able to switch to the new version. When I try switching, I receive an error message saying I'm not eligible. BAH! I really want to use the new version as changing the template is much easier, and way more user-friendly. Grrrrrrr.

Today I had my eyebrows waxed, and my bangs trimmed. Then, since I was on such a grooming kick, I painted my nails. Yes, that's right, I painted my fingernails. They're Gargantuan Green Grape (OPI) with a black kitty cat sticker on my left hand's middle finger. Yeah, so it's the OPI Halloween kit, too bad. The green goes with the holiday season, and besides, I think they're cute.

Apparently I'm able to function on 3 hours of sleep? I went to bed at 11:30PM, and woke up at 3:20AM. I absolutely can't get back to sleep, which annoys the shit out of me.

I got a job today! It's another student assistant position, but this one's behind the scenes. I'll be a PC Tech, with two other people. During winter break I'll work 8AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday. When Spring session begins January 16th, I'll work 20 hours a week. It only pays $6.85/hr, but it's a job. Besides, I won't have to deal with people, other than when the Governor is visiting, or the Rolls Royce people are in town. My office is even in the back of the building, where I'm out of the way. Plus, both of my bosses seem really cool, and I can wear jeans (when there aren't any "important" people around, which is most of the time.) I begin Thursday at 8:30AM, and I'm only working until 12:30PM Thursday and Friday. I even get paid in two weeks! Woo me! Of course, now that I've accepted the position, 2 people called about my resume. One of the positions is as a file clerk. I'll interview for shits and giggles, but unless it pays a minimum of $8/hr, I won't quit the student assistant position.

I can't believe it's almost tax season again already! I'll only have two W-2's this year (Summit Racing and the first student assistant position), and Morgan'll just have one. He still has 3 or 4 days of vacation he needs to take before the end of the year, and the end of the year is pretty damn close. I told him to see if he can take the Friday before Christmas, and the 2 or 3 days after Christmas. They probably won't let him, though, since he's the only detailer at the dealership. He needs to hurry up, though, since he only has 3 weeks to take his days.

Mmmm, Firebird:

Jumping Jehosaphat

Hee, my title means absolutely nothing. But, since I haven't slept more than 2 hours at a time since Saturday, I'm allowed to be weird. Yes, the insomnia is at its worst since I was pregnant. I took 4 sleeping pills at 11PM last night. It's now 6AM, and I slept maybe an hour. I even laid down and tried to sleep for 3 hours; no luck. I am so far past pissed off it isn't even funny.

In other news, I scheduled my Spring semester classes. Lucky me, all 4 of my courses are online! I have an interview at 3:30 this afternoon for a work study position. If I'm hired, I'll only be on campus for work. If I'm not hired, I won't have to go near the school until June (summer classes.) The only exception will be to buy books, which I dread. My classes are Graphic Design, Microsoft Access Database, Help Desk and one other class that's slipping my mind at the moment. Suffice to say it'll be an easy semester.

Allegedly there were 3 inches of snow when Morgan came home from getting Dew around midnight. He has a tendency to exaggerate, though, so there was probably only an inch, if that.

His work Christmas party was OK. The food was the same as last year, only the desserts weren't as good. This year they had a magician, who pretty much sucked. But, Morgan did win a $25 gift card for Target, and we were out of there by 9PM. We went to the Massillon Target, which seems to be the nicest one around here, and he bought a new Logitech game pad for his computer. I picked up a few things out of the dollar bin (wrapping paper, lights for the mini-tree, etc) and some beverages. I freaking love Target!

Over the weekend we watched quite a few movies. I have a membership to Blockbuster Online, and it's fabulous. For $18 a month (the first month is free) I get unlimited online rentals, with a limit of 3 out at any time. Additionally, for every online rental I return in-store I get a free in-store rental! I can also return them via the prepaid mailers, but why would I mail them back when I get free in-store rentals? Anyway, this weekend we watched Superman Returns, House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, Black Cadillac and I started watching Cabin Fever. I didn't really pay attention to Superman Returns, but the Rob Zombie films were actually very good. I was shocked, and I'm now optimistic about him being involved with Halloween 9. Hopefully he'll do a good job. He may be a no-talent ass clown when it comes to music, but his films are worth watching. Black Cadillac is a good movie, and, so far, Cabin Fever has sucked. But I can't complain, they were free! I still have to watch The Last House on the Left and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake. They're not due back until Saturday, though, so I'm sure I'll have time to watch them.

Finally, decent photos (Razr camera phone) of all the penguin stuff I'd like to have from Wal-Mart.

Hella cute, I know.

The NEOCC Christmas party is Saturday. It should be a good time, and the beer's free. Wooooo!

Eh, I should do something constructive instead of blogging.

Not Very Much

eBay hates me. Every time I create a new account, I'm booted about a week later. So, I decided to try and reactivate my original account (over 200 feedback, 100% positive.) To my surprise they reactivated it immediately! I just logged in, and found it's now suspended, again, as is my current account. I hope the payment I just sent for two items isn't "ignored" by the seller since I'm now suspended.

I finally watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose. It was a pretty good movie, yet nothing like I'd expected.

Oooooooh, Bounce has a new Citrus Breeze scent. I must try it.

Damn, my eyebrows need waxed. Put that on my To-Do list for Wednesday. Along with finishing my paper for Intro to Networking, and picking out classes for Spring semester.

Morgan's work Christmas party is Saturday. Same place as last year, so I'm sure it'll be a good time. Hopefully it's warmer than last year, because I'm wearing a dress. I froze my ass off last year, and I wore a sweater and dress pants (I was pregnant and nothing fit.) Part of this year's outfit is one of the eBay items I mentioned above. If it isn't here in time, I'm screwed. I technically could purchase a replacement, but for around $65. I paid $15 on eBay. You see my dilemma.

Actually, we're busy the next 3 Saturdays. Christmas parties the 2nd and 9th, then we see the baby on the 16th. I'm planning on taking a mini-road trip the second or third week of January, as long as the weather's OK. No idea where, but it'll be somewhere fun. Maybe Pittsburgh (Ikea,) or Mount Pleasant, WV (Mothman stuff.) Chicago's too far away for a weekend thing, especially with unpredictable winter weather. I'll figure something out, I'm sure.

It's supposed to be 65 degrees tomorrow, which is good. I need to remove the remaining old stickers from TruckBird, then remove the adhesive with Goo Gone.

I should go to bed. The digital phone installation person will be here between 10AM and noon, then I have stuff to do the rest of the day, so I won't be able to get my usual nap. LOL Yeah, I caved in and got a land line. Using cell phones exclusively feels weird, and with both of us using the minutes, it doesn't work out so well.

Stop It

I need to stop living in the past. For some reason, the last 6 months or so have been spent dwelling on the past. How much better it was when I was younger. How easy life was. All the guys I dated and wondering where they are. Where I went wrong. Etc.... I know this is the worst way to go through life, and I really would like to change my outlook. I think it's mostly because I'm 27, don't have a college degree and don't own a house. Sure, I'm in college, but it's pretty fucking lame because I'm in college for an undergraduate degree. Gah, I always get like this when I can't sleep.

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong in regard to the background image issue. Once I figured out the problem, I realized the image completely jacked up my blog. So, I decided to have a simple black background with multicolored text. The Christmas lights are a bonus for the season. I do all of my HTML editing on wide screen monitors, so the light bar may be too wide for some people's monitors. I'll check it tomorrow on Morgan's giant monitor, but it looks fine on my laptop.

Speaking of laptops, I'm going to try and have my Gateway fixed. I love that laptop, and nothing is wrong with the actual machine. The battery won't charge via the AC outlet, so I have two choices. Try to have the AC jack resoldered, or find an external battery charger. I'd prefer the external charger, but they're next to impossible to find. I run the risk of ruining the motherboard if I go the soldering route. But, it isn't like I can use it anyway.

Eh, I should go to bed.

Word

For some reason, I can't get my background image to work and it's really pissing me off.

Anyway, I've sat around the house and served no real purpose all day. I did clean the apartment though, so that's good. Morgan went to the drag strip at 10 this morning, and still isn't home. I guess he stopped at his Dad's house, then went to pick up his rear end from Dwane's house. It's about fucking time! We gave Dwane the money for the rear end 3 months ago, and it's finally ready. Gee, what a fabulous turnaround time!

I got my Mom's Christmas present, along with Barb's and Stacey's. Now I only have 4 more gifts to purchase and I'll be finished. Woo!

I need food.

Gobble

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Morgan and I are going to a MinervaDave buffet. Every Thanksgiving MinervaDave cooks dinner at a local restaurant, which provides Thanksgiving dinner for free. There's a donation jar for people who can afford, and of course we'll contribute. I'm looking forward to it, plus I'll get to see MinervaDave. The Jesus Buffet is in Cuyahoga Falls, and it'll be packed. The Jesus Buffet food's good, but I don't feel like fighting those types of crowds for Thanksgiving dinner.

I found what I'm getting my Mom for Christmas. It's a "day-after-Thanksgiving" deal, though, which means I will venture into the chaos again this year. It'll be markedly nicer this year, though. Last year it snowed, was freezing and I had to climb in the hatch of Blackie because the doors froze shut. Plus, I was pregnant. This year it's supposed to be almost 60 degrees and I'm not pregnant. Friday night we're going to this Burning River Roller Girls event. Saturday we're going to the racetrack, as long as it's nice enough to race (no rain/snow.) Sunday we're sitting on our asses.

Morgan finally has a cell phone again, but he can't use it until tomorrow. His SIM card wound up becoming unregistered in the month he hasn't had a phone. I have a feeling he's going to need a new SIM card. They're only $20, but there's nothing wrong with his old SIM card. It shouldn't have become unregistered because his line has been active, we just couldn't use it because he didn't have a phone. Hopefully the woman who put in the request for his current SIM to be reactivated knew what she was doing.

I need to write some crap down before I forget.

Poop On A Stick

Since it's 25 til 2 in the AM, and I can't fall asleep, I figured I'd blog a bit. Not much has been going on. I've had a couple job interviews, but haven't received any offers of employment. I have another interview Friday, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high. It'd be perfect, though, since I'd work across the street from Morgan.

I've put the 4th Gen away for the winter, which means I'm driving TruckBird. He's started stalling when I stop at a red light. Morgan thinks it's the idle-air controller, which makes sense. It doesn't start until the car is fully warmed up (about 15-20 minutes) and it only happens when I'm at a red light. The car runs fine the rest of the time. I've replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor and oxygen sensor. I'll replace the controller thing and hope it fixes the problem.

Target becomes my bitch more and more every day. Years ago I collected Nick and Nora stuff. Then it became impossible to find around here, so I gave up. Wouldn't you know, Target now carries Nick and Nora. Woo! I want these sheets and this PJ set. I already have these sheets (they were only $15 when I purchased them,) but only because this set wasn't available at my local Target. Maybe I'll get $500 in Target gift certificates for Christmas. HA, I'm dreaming and not even asleep.

I have 5 baskets of laundry to wash. Perhaps I should go tomorrow during the day when everyone's at work. That way I can use all of the dryers and cut my dry time in half. I really hate going to the laundromat, but if I tried doing all this laundry at my Mom's house, it would take me forever. So, the laundromat it is.

I should make a grocery list.

There's a creepy guy at our apartment building. He skulks about and is the epitome of creepy old man. I steer clear of him on the rare occasions I actually see him.

I should pack up all of our summer clothes to make room for our winter stuff. I need to go through the closets (all 3 we have) and figure out what we can store in the garage. We have no room in this apartment and I'm ready to tear out my hair. Why did I think it was a good idea to move into a studio apartment?

It's almost Thanksgiving. That blows me away.

Guess I'll watch TV.

Fuck Wal-Mart

The photo printer I purchased the end of August is apparently broken. Our computers won't recognize the printer's plugged in via the USB cable, and the cable is fine (I tested it on the scanner.) Of course, when I called Wal-Mart I was told their warranty period is 15 days. After that, I have to go through HP. I've been on the phone with HP customer support for 40 minutes, and I'm finally being transferred to a technician, who hopefully speaks English!! Yes, HP outsources calls to India. Thankfully there are a few local service centers (Best Buy and Office Max) so maybe they'll just exchange the damned thing.

Interviews tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday. Hopefully a job is in my near future. I needed to print something out for tomorrow's interview, but that obviously isn't going to be possible.

Bah, my stomach is upset.

Blargy

Saw III is a good movie. Halloween in the theater was great. I didn't go to any haunted houses this Halloween, nor did I go to Dark X-mas. I didn't make it to the Ohio Firebirds meeting either. I completely slacked Halloween weekend.

The 4th Gen is going into storage Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. I drove TruckBird home on Saturday evening. He buzzed right along with no problems. How I love that damn car.

I have a huge thing on my chin. It's big, and icky and has been there since Thursday evening. Hopefully it'll be gone in another day or two.

Get out and vote tomorrow (Tuesday.)

Morgan and I went to Shay's house Sunday afternoon. Her daughter is crazy. It's starting off with a bang, too. Friday at 7PM I'm going to see Saw 3. Then Saturday I'm open, Sunday is the Ohio Firebirds meeting in Mentor and Monday is the original Halloween at a theater in Middleburg Heights. I am beyond excited about the whole original Halloween in a theater. I've seen Halloween 6, 7 and 8 in the theater, so it'll be cool to see the original as well. I'm sure Morgan and I will go to a haunted house Saturday, but I'm not sure which one. Probably the Factory of Terror since we went to the Haunted Schoolhouse and Laboratory last year. Part of me wants to visit Point Pleasant, WV again, and to explore the TNT area this time. I dunno, I'll have to MapBlast it and see how far we are from there (the last time we went it was a side trip to Huntington, WV.)

Then, the next weekend is Dark X-mas in Austintown. A former professor is going to be there, and so are a bunch of other cool people. I can't wait!

Generally I'm in a cranky not-too-upbeat mood. I seriously can't stand anymore of people telling me they're too busy to call me. Or too busy to keep plans with me. I actually had someone tell me today my friends grow up, pair off and we grow apart. What? So because someone gets older they should completely ignore someone they've known for years? Some of these people I've known for almost 10 years. It's OK for them to stop speaking with me altogether, with no explanation? I truly don't understand why people do this to me. I'm not expecting anyone to be at my beck and call, but an email every couple weeks is good. Or, I dunno, a reply to one of my emails is nice. A phone call once in a while is nice as well. When I say people disappear, I mean just that. One day I talk to them, everything's fine and that's it; I never hear from them again. It's complete bullshit if you ask me. Even when I worked 45 hours a week and drove 2 hours each way to/from work, I didn't ignore my friends. I made sure to call once a week (at least,) and reply to all of my emails within a couple days of receipt. Yeah, I've fucked up sometimes, but come on people. No one is that fucking busy. Pretty much, everyone ignores me until there is absolutely nothing left to do, short of eating broken glass. Then, they decide to email me. Fabulous. At least I'm still better than eating broken glass, I guess.

Cranky much? Nah.

I mailed 3 more resumes today. Lets see how many people don't call me!

Poop.

Yeah

Gee, I have an exciting evening ahead of me. Homework and two tests for school. Whoop de do. I guess I'll wash my car, or at least vacuum it out tomorrow, then I'm going to haunted houses with Maggie tomorrow evening. Monday I start my job, but it's only for a week. Thank goodness, because having to be at Akron U by 8AM will suck. Next week in general will suck, but at least I'll make some money.

After I finish my schoolwork I think I'll watch some Halloween on DVD. Rather be out doing something fun, but whatever.

This is going nowhere fast.

I Need To Simmer Down

I am so angry at humans in general...I need to calm down, but I really can't. I'm tired of giving people second chances (and third and fourth) to have them do the exact same thing they did before. Gah, I give up.

In other news, I'd like to see Saw III and Jackass Number Two. Not this weekend, but maybe in two weekends I can see Jackass, and Saw if I can get tickets. I used to go to the movies all the time, and I love going. Hopefully I'll be able to start going to more flicks in the theater.

My DVD's arrived today. I now have Halloween 1-5, and 8 on DVD. Woo! I've had the original for years, but this one was supposed to be the hologram cover version, which it isn't. I had the fancy cover version, but my Mom let Kieth borrow a bunch of my DVD's (including that one,) and I never got them back. Grrrrrrrrr.

Why are my glasses always dirty?

I should go to bed.

Possibilities

I have a couple job interviews this week, with one of them an almost definite hire. Downside to the almost definite is it's only a week position for a temp agency. It pays $400 for the week, but it's still only one week. Another position, permanent, is right around the corner from the apartment. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Heh, I bought fangs and devil horns for Halloween. According to most of the guys I know, the devil horns are very appropriate. I'm pleading the 5th, though.

Our 2nd exam in Intro to Networking is tomorrow. I'm confident I'll get a much better grade on this exam because the material is much more "real-life" than abstract stuff like last time. (Hello run-on sentance.) I'll do a little more studying in the morning, and that'll be all.

Morgan and I are attending our friend's CD release party Friday. She's a very intelligent, and nice, person, which makes her a great person with whom to converse.

Wooo, my hair is to my butt crack. I purchased a dress, shoes, hosiery and a bustier. Total spent was $37 with tax. Heh, the dress was a penny. Yes, a PENNY at Torrid (regular price of $64.) Freaking rock! I'm wearing the dress, hosiery and shoes to our friend Michelle Belanger's CD release party at the Chamber on Friday the 13th. Apparently I'm going to wear the outfit to the Bella Morte/Hanzel und Gretyl show as well, since the show is next to the Chamber prior to Michelle's CD release. Gah, the shoes are going to kill me.

Speaking of shoes...I went to DSW last night. I finally received my $10 certificate, so I buzzed over there to hopefully buy the blue leather Adidas Tuscany shoes. Not only did I find them, but they were on clearance. Double woo!

And, to top off the shopping week of bliss, last night I found the Mass Transit bus shower curtain at Target. Yep, it was on clearance too, for $3.25. I'm so addicted to Target.

Hopefully you've noticed the different blog address. Yep, I'm no longer TheLawnBunny. That nickname is from a period in my life I'd like to forget. A total waste of 4.5 years, but looking back, it's helped me realize how people truly are. So, my new URL for my blog, and my MoBlog, are lisathepooper.blogspot.com and lisathepooper.textamerica.com, respectively. Pretty much everything has been switched over, but the only way to access my old posts are by clicking the archives link. I have no idea how to actually merge the two accounts into one, so that's how I have to do it for now.

I have a lot to think about. Some rather significant life changes may occur soon, and I'm not sure what I want to do just yet. I need time alone to think things through, but that'll never happen with living in a studio apartment. And, without the ability to think about things, nothing will happen. Suffice to say I'm unhappy with my current situation, and need to evaluate what my options are in regard to my unhappiness.

This evening Morgan and I went to Monument Park in Canton. It's the park by the Football Hall of Fame and the McKinley Monument. During the day it's relatively safe, and nice to visit. While there, we saw a really cool duck. We're going back tomorrow to feed her, and take more photos (battery was dead on the camera.)

I guess I'll put away the clean clothes, watch some TV then read a Haunted Ohio book.

I'm a dork.

That is all.
